Methodology changelog
Every profile shows the methodology version it was built with, for example "Methodology version N". The version goes up only when the documented method changes in a way that moves figures, such as a new way of assigning people to flood zones or a different geography for totals. New source data and corrections to the code don’t change the version; they appear in the data changelog below. Figures built with different versions aren't directly comparable.
- Version 1 (release version) · Method change
- Initial release. Uses Census block-level areal apportionment of people and jobs to FEMA flood zones and sea level rise extent polygons derived from NOAA SLR data. Uses OPC scenarios and gauge tables and a readapted Open ENOW methodology for imputed values. See about pages for more details.
Data changelog
Each entry is a date when one or more counties got new figures, either from new source data or from a correction. Each county is compared with its own previous snapshot, which can be older than the entry before it. Updates that changed no figures aren’t listed.
- Correction · · 4 counties
Correction: school counts. The pipeline matched USGS structure records by location rather than ID, so schools sharing one point were counted once.
Facility figures changed in 4 counties.
